How to get to Lagos from Faro or Lisbon airport
using public transport

From Faro airport: Journey from Faro airport to Lagos by public transport can be done in 2 steps: from Faro airport to Faro city and from Faro city to Lagos.

1. Bus or taxi from Faro airport to the bus or train station in Faro city;

From the airport arrivals area, the bus number 16 departures every hour from 6 am to 11 pm. The trip takes 20 minutes. The bus station is the final stop. The ticket price is around €2,5 and it is purchased from the driver. The bus and train stations are located close to each other. Taxi will cost around €10-15.

2. Train or bus from Faro city to Lagos.

By express bus: Operated by EVA buses. The trip takes a little more than 2 hours. The ticket should be purchased from the ticket office. Travellers younger than 30 years old have a discount. Bus timetable can be checked at http://eva-bus.com. The bus station in Lagos is located in walking distance from the city center.
By train: The trip takes around 2 hours. The ticket price is around €7,5 and it should be purchased from the ticket office. Train timetable can be checked at www.cp.pt. Lagos is the final station on the route. The train station in Lagos is located close to the Marina in walking distance from the city center. There are always taxis parked at the Lagos train station so you can easily reach your hotel.

From Lisbon airport: Journey from Lisbon airport to Lagos by public transport can be done in 2 steps: from Lisbon airport to bus or train station and from the station to Lagos.

1. Taxi or metro from Lisbon Airport to the bus or train station;

Metro is located at the exit of the Lisbon airport. The ticket price is around €2. Check the right metro station depending on the chosen bus company or the train.

2. Train or bus from Lisbon to Lagos.

By express bus: operated by three bus companies: Rede Expressos, EVA (www.rede-expressos.pt) and Renex (www.renex.pt). Routes and prices of all these companies are similar. The average trip takes around 4-5 hours. The ticket should be purchased from the ticket office. The ticket price is around €20. Travellers younger than 30 years old have a discount. Rede Expressos and EVA buses depart from the Sete Rios bus station (Jardim Zoológico metro station, blue metro line). Renex buses depart from the Gare Oriente bus station (Expo metro station, red metro line). In Lagos buses stop in walking distance from the city center.
By train: Train route from Lisbon to Lagos is longer because of the connection at Tunes. In Lisbon trains stop at Oriente train station (red metro line). The ticket price is around €25. Train timetable is available at www.cp.pt. The train station in Lagos is located close to the Marina in walking distance from the city center. From there you can take a taxi to your hotel.
